The Day Centre offers clients a warm, safe, caring place where they can enjoy friendly company, a wide range of activities and wholesome food. There is a separate dining room with views over beautiful gardens and sea loch. All meals are prepared in the Centre's own kitchen. Mealtimes are relaxed and friendly, and menus are designed to be well-balanced and good value, using fresh, wholesome ingredients and where possible, locally sourced produce. The lounge has facilities for activities, special interest groups, crafts, hobbies, discussion groups, learning new skills, presentations and TV, DVD and piano. Regular outings to places and events of interest are also arranged. Ideas for activities are often suggested by clients, and the aim is to have something enjoyable for everyone. The supported accommodation, owned by Albyn Housing includes four single bed-sitting rooms, each with en-suite facilities, and two one-bedroom flats. Amenity housing also owned by Albyn and Highland Council sheltered housing is opposite. Ross Place, adjacent to the Centre, is a row of four newly completed amenity houses also owned and rented out by Albyn. The doctor's surgery is next to the Centre. There is a high level of social support with a nurse on call at all times. The Centre also has two GP referral medical beds providing free NHS care and facilities for short term medical and nursing attention. Respite care is also available usually via a GP/social services referral or by self-referral.
